This month we are getting upside down!
Don’t worry, we’re not going to be making you flip up into a handstand! We want you to have a play with the idea of inversions. Making inversions accessible.
We are going to be focusing on getting our bottoms up. Thinking about getting our hips and bottoms higher than our heads. More the sensation of being upside down, rather than standing on our heads and hands.
From a psychological perspective, getting upside down and flipping things around means we are literally looking at the world from a different way (upside down!), and this change in perspective helps us to learn a lot more about ourselves; looking at the world from a different perspective by looking at the world upside down
Physically, going upside changes the way our muscles work. The gravitational pull changes our muscles and creates a whole different and new world on the muscles.
This month we will also be doing lots of shoulder work as well as for people who are comfortable with inversions, there will be space to play!
Have fun. Enjoy the sunshine. And lets get our bottoms up.
