What exactly is My Kind of Yoga™?
My Kind of Yoga™ is a movement system and a loose approach to traditional Yoga practice derived from my own direct experience of what works and what doesn’t work for me on my Yoga journey. It is drawn from over 25 years experience of Sports Science, personal development, Yoga and fitness training, and competitive sport experience. It is about honouring the fact that each person’s body, life experiences and health issues are specific to them and them alone, and so anyone’s Yoga journey is about cultivating your kind of yoga practice.
Who are your clients and who will My Kind of Yoga™ Chew Valley work for?
We work mainly with people aged between 30-65, who tend to lead fairly active lives. Saying that, over the years, I’ve worked with:
- Rugby players
- Personal Trainers
- Group Exercise Instructors
I’ve also had clients with health challenges, such as:
- Raynauds Disease
- Low back pain
- Frozen shoulder
What makes you different from other Yoga teachers out there?
If you take a look at my story on the About Ann-See page, you’ll get a good idea about my background and what led me to create My Kind of Yoga™. I only work with people who are committed to their Yoga practice and I am solely dedicated to my client’s personal journey. I don’t force clients into a specific Yoga practice that may not suit them, just because it worked for someone else. As a result, my clients receive personal attention and guidance on how to find their own kind of yoga.
Do I need a reserve a space to attend a class?
Yes, you do as spaces are limited.
How do I book onto a class?
Fill in the contact form below and we’ll get back in touch with you.
Your classes are run as a block. Can I come along and pay per class?
No, as spaces are limited.
What if I can’t make a session?
If there is space at another venue, we will endeavour to fit you into another class that week.
I’m pretty new to yoga. Are these classes OK for me?
We have regularly been teaching brand new beginners alongside long-time practitioners for over 15 years now. Everyone is treated with respect and is taught to move according to their personal needs.
What do I need to bring with me to my first class?
Please bring a yoga mat. You can get these relatively cheaply these days from most superstores, TK Maxx, sports shops. You may also want to bring a towel and water bottle.
What should I wear?
Wear clothes that let you move freely. Shorts/leggings and a t-shirt are ideal. We’d prefer it if your clothing isn’t too baggy as we need to see what your body is doing. Both spaces can be a little cool at times, so bring something warm to wear at the start and the end of class.
Do you play music?
Yes we do.
Do you accept credit cards?
Yes we do.
What results can I expect?
You can expect to feel better, recharged and move with more ease. You’ll begin to understand how your own body works and learn to respect it and treat your body with care.
How quickly can I expect results?
You may notice a difference after just one class.
What is it like working with you?
Go to the Testimonials page and have a read and look at what some people have to say about working with me.
Where can I park?
