Hello May! This month’s theme is Spinal Flow.
Having a strong and supple spine is something we always need. Ann-See’s yoga teacher used to say “you’re only as young as your spine feels”.
Our spines are often rigid and stiff, we often have back pain. When we practice other sport, and particularly high impact sports, our muscles surrounding our spine are strong and ‘beefy’, but often not supple. We want our spine to be mobile, healthy, absorb impact better and just all round move more freely.
We want to encourage you to try and explore backbends. We also want to encourage you to move the spine in ways you normally wouldn’t; have fun and play with it!
Break through your barriers and fears of your back, and lets get them moving more freely!
